NOVATIO is currently searching for a skilled mechanical technician. This individual will be an excellent fabricator, have a high mechanical aptitude and be skilled with a variety of hand and power tools. We prefer someone who sees themselves as a team player with a positive “do-it-yourself” attitude. As a technician for NOVATIO, you may be asked to occasionally visit and help out at our sheet metal fabrication shop in Londonderry NH. Time at the shop will be spent assisting with sheet metal part production including cutting, grinding, sanding, bending and finishing. Estimated time spent in New Hampshire is 4-5 days per month but will vary.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and production in support of engineering efforts daily
  • Janitorial support, machine shop maintenance and grounds keeping
  • Maintaining a clean and well organized work environment
  • Assisting with wiring, soldering, crimping pins, installing connectors (AC and DC)
  • Occasionally assisting with testing, data collection and troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Electrical experience (wiring, terminals, connectors, harnesses)
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, machine tools, sheet metal tools
  • Self-starter, ability to work autonomously with ambiguous work instructions

NOVATIO is currently searching for a highly motivated Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for developing/managing production of our multi-fuel portable generators from a pilot production to a fully documented and controlled process and will oversee areas of Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Data Management.

Production

  • Prototype/pilot production → standardized process
  • Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement throughout the assembly process
  • Manage and oversee the production process from start to finish including production scheduling
  • Become a high-level process expert for main and all sub-assemblies, including the ability to troubleshoot and create flow for final assembly
  • Coordinate with Deputy Operations Manager and Production Floor Managers for daily plan/goals
  • Manage the labor force and establish employee training and onboarding
  • Manage quality in processes, employees, and incoming material
  • Establish and use KPIs and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, Gemba walks, PDCA, Six Sigma) to drive quality improvement
  • Manage quality initiatives and use closed-loop feedback
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Novatio’s products

Supply Chain Management

  • Manage and track on-hand and on-order inventory to ensure sustained production
  • Assist in procurement strategies and establish strategic relationships with key suppliers
  • Coordinate with floor managers to handle shipping schedules and incoming material

Data Analysis/ R&D

  • Create, collect, and maintain manufacturing data
  • Use existing data to create useful dashboards for monitoring KPIs
  • Improve existing manufacturing database and tracking and use data acquisition systems as needed to mine data
  • Design experiments for product improvement and test plans for production

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Industrial Engineering/Operations or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Production Environment
  • Good English written and oral/ presentation communication skills
  • Willingness to support a variety of projects as needed
  • Proactively ensure a safe work environment
  • Experience with managing teams and delegating tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Google Suite and Office 365 products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
